Needed this today. Applicable more than ever. Realizing I posted these lyrics years ago, different picture The description we wrote still applies now and we can never remind ourselves of it enough. “Sometimes we just have to ask for help... and if we feel like we aren’t quite getting what we need, we just keep asking. Asking for help may seem counterintuitive for some, “I don’t want to be a burden on anyone,” “I don’t want people to worry,” “I don’t want to appear weak.” There’s also the spiritual component; whatever your beliefs may be, surrendering to something bigger than ourselves, trusting in the universe that the unknown will certainly be better than the well predicted future of continuing to do what is killing us. As much as it goes against those lies in our head, we are more important than that; we are worth more. “⠀
